Mr. Lee graduated with a law degree from Brigham Young University in 2007. He also obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University in 2004.
Mr. Lee currently focuses his practice in criminal law and immigration. He has defended clients in matters ranging from child abuse homicide to domestic violence to drug and alcohol-related crimes. He has achieved favorable outcomes for his clients in district and justice courts across the state of Utah. He has been appointed as a public defender for cases in American Fork, Lehi, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Alpine/Highland, Provo, and West Valley City.
Mr. Lee also works in the immigration court in Salt Lake City where he has represented clients faced with deportation/removal. He has worked with those who have been detained, including refugees and those seeking adjustment of status to be a legal permanent resident.
His past legal experience includes clerking at Kim and Chang in Seoul, Korea, which is Asia’s largest full service law firm. He also has extensive prosecutor experience, having clerked/interned in the county and district attorney offices in Provo (UT), Riverside (CA), Boston (MA), and Queens (NY).
Mr. Lee’s hometown is the Bronx in New York City. He is the fourth and last child of Korean immigrants.
He enjoys the outdoors, basketball, reading, following the New York Yankees, and writing in his blog dealing with race issues.
Mario A. ArrasMr. Arras graduated with a law degree from Brigham Young University in 2007. He obtained an Honors bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah in 2002.
Mr. Arras currently focuses his practice in criminal and immigration law. He has extensive experience defending those accused of crimes ranging from drug distribution to sex crimes to DUI’s. He also has a full understanding of how these crimes may affect one’s immigration status.
His past legal experience includes working as a Juvenile Justice Counselor for the State of Utah, clerk for the State of Utah Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, and clerk for criminal defense law firm of Yengich, Rich, and Xias.
Mr. Arras’ hometown is Chihuahua, Mexico. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1988.
He enjoys the gym, literature, cinema, art, music, and spending time with his family.
